Documents usually needed for Colombia

  • Proof of remote work for foreign employer or foreign freelance clients
  • Bank statements over the last 3 months demonstrating minimum monthly income of at least 3 times the Colombian minimum wage (SMLMV ~ $1,400 USD/month)
  • International medical insurance policy covering hospitalization and repatriation in Colombia with minimum $50,000 USD coverage
  • Passport valid for at least 6 months and a compliant photo (make yours here)

    Submit digital application on the official Cancillería SITAC portal with income statements and letter of remote work.

    Electronic E-Visa Delivery

    Receive approved electronic visa document with QR verification code via email.

    Immediate post-payment

    Migración Colombia Cédula de Extranjería

    Book appointment on Migración Colombia website within 15 days of arrival to register biometrics and receive Cédula card.
