Documents usually needed for Rwanda

  • Employment contract with a Rwanda-registered company or Kigali International Financial Centre (KIFC) accredited firm
  • Police clearance certificate issued within the preceding 6 months
  • Submission through the Irembo e-Government portal or DGIE online service
  • Passport valid for at least 6 months and a compliant photo (make yours here)

    Submit digital application on irembo.gov.rw with contract, academic degrees, and criminal record.

    DGIE Online Approval & Payment

    Receive approval notification and pay fee online via mobile money or credit card.

    24 - 48 hours

    Green Card / Electronic Resident Card

    Collect physical Foreign Resident Identity Card at DGIE headquarters in Kigali.
